Sfdc99's first in-person meetup!

November 15, 2013

Today, an Sfdc99 fan stopped by Google for lunch!

What did we talk about? Salesforce, of course! My guest was a long-time Salesforce administrator in charge of a company’s instance. Even though she’s a top-tier admin, she wants to start learning how to code in Apex to take her career to the next level! It was inspiring to see someone so willing to learn!

There’s a lot we can learn from each other, coder or not!

She encouraged me to start holding in-person meetups! A safe haven for people who want to get started coding in the Salesforce industry in a totally non-threatening environment! I told her I don’t have nearly enough readers…

What do you guys think? Is there anyone interested in coming out to Palo Alto, CA to take a (free) class on beginner Apex coding?

When I found your blog I shared it with two people and we are already devoted readers. (We want more frequent posts thought). If I were over there (too bad I am in the South East), I would have been the first in line.

If I was in CA I would be up for it but I’m in NYC…. haha I LOVE reading these posts. I am a junior developer learning more and more everyday and your posts help me with things I may miss or just haven’t don’t know. Keep up the GREAT work!
