Sfdc99 reader gets job at Google!

February 10, 2014

Yes you read the title correctly!

An Sfdc99 reader just got a job here on our Salesforce implementation team at Google!
Dreams do come true!

JJ and I will be working together on what is probably Google’s most exciting CRM implementation!!!

Like many of you, JJ heard of Google’s job position through Sfdc99 and emailed me directly! And in his words, “It still feels like a dream!”

For those who’d love to work at Google too, keep your heads up!
Here are some tips to help boost your chances next time:

  • Keep reading Sfdc99 to know when new positions open up!
  • Try to get an many certifications as possible!
  • Be a jack of all trades – learn as much as possible not just about the admin and developer side – but also have general sales and business knowledge!
  • Having a positive and honest attitude is tremendous!

Here’s a picture of JJ and I on his first day. We’re about to grab some yummy Google food @ HQ!

David….I have worked on Salesforce for several years on and off helping small teams with implementation and admin tasks…. and really found coding a bit challenging…. just couldn’t get my head around it… until I found your site! You do such a tremendous job and I really want to thank you for sharing all you do!!

Congrats JJ! Do you consider people not in the San Francisco area?

Mountain View is strongly preferred – in this case JJ relocated from halfway across the US!

Very jealous. If I didn’t have my business and could have any job it would be to work with Google/Salesforce (my two favorite companies) and develop code. Congrats and fair winds!!
