Dreamforce is coming…

August 21, 2014

It doesn’t matter what circumstances you may have going on in your life – you MUST go to Dreamforce!

Simply put, to maximize your Salesforce career you need to attend every Salesforce event possible.
And Dreamforce is the big daddy of them all!

Why should you attend Dreamforce?

  1. I’ll be presenting a session there!
Stop by and say hi, learn code, and register to make my numbers look good!
  2. It could be the most important thing you do this year.
I’m totally serious about this. I can remember specific decisions like these that triggered events in my life that completely changed the trajectory of my career. This could be yours.
  3. Get a ton of free stuff!
50 t-shirts, an iPad, a Nexus 7, Adobe Creative Suite, two Rokus, and two Jamboxes in my stash!

Never underestimate how much a single event can change your life!

More details on the session coming, hope to see you guys soon!

For those who say “Dreamforce is expensive”, yes it is. The up-front costs – registration, travel, hotel accommodations, food – can make any decision maker cringe. If you find yourself having to convince your boss – or yourself! – to send you to Dreamforce, it’s good to know that the numbers are on your side. 96% of Dreamforce attendees surveyed said that the ROI their companies experienced as a direct result of attending “quickly outweighed the cost of going.”

Not to mention the amount of networking you do during the after hour events :)

    Amen to this!

Try your best to find ways to go even if you don’t have the budget. I once emails Marc Benioff (CEO of Salesforce) asking for free tickets (long time ago, when I was new to the platform), and surprisingly he gave them to me!

Hi David,

Any tips for first timers? I know that it will be like an ocean of information but I need some help on finding where the treasures will be :). I work mostly as an SME in Salesforce but I want to become a developer.

Please let me know!

Thanks!
