How much money do Salesforce Developers make in your area?

October 20, 2014

Ever wonder what the average salary of a Salesforce Developer is?

Here’s a tool made by Indeed, a job search site, that aggregates the data for you:

San Francisco, CA: $135,000
New York, NY: $135,000
Atlanta, GA: $124,000

In my experience the numbers above are accurate for their areas. Not bad at all!
In some special cases I know of people making $400k+ per year and $150+ per hour!

Boy oh boy if I was making that much money I wouldn’t bother collecting all these free t-shirts! Woo!!

Plug in your city and see what the average salary is!

Although I strongly do not believe anyone should become a developer just for the money (you are much more likely to fail this way), you gotta admit it’s not a bad perk of the industry!

I don’t care what people say. McDonald’s for life!!

Someone needs to write a paper on why people like free t-shirts – it is phenomenal!!

OMG
Here in São Paulo, Brazil, a Salesforce developer would make around $40.000 per year!

Oh boy! Remote work for an American company would pay a lot more – people would live like royalty!

Yes! I would love to have an opportunity like that. Where can I look for Salesforce developer jobs in the US? Or remote? Do you have any tips!?

Twice in my career I have taken big salary cuts (50%) in order to pursue my dreams! Today I live a comfortable life but I am far from rich. =)

Everyone know’s you make bank Mr. Liu ;-) But really, you must be so happy living your dream job everyday. I remember being obsessed with the thought of working for Google. Hopefully one day I’ll achieve that goal. Do you have any tips about the Salesforce world for a 17 year old? I’m currently working on my Salesforce Admin certification with the help of your guide but I would like to know more about what one actually does as a Salesforce dev.

You’ve got a huuuuuuge lead on everyone if you’re learning Salesforce before college. 99% don’t touch Salesforce until after.

Tip: go to Dreamforce every year
