Merry Christmas from SFDC99!

December 20, 2014

I wish for all your dreams to come true this holiday season!

Since Christmas is a time of giving, I’d like to reflect on one of the gifts I’ve received in my life that I’m thankful for: the gift of encouragement and mentorship, as I dreamed of one day becoming a Salesforce developer.

I’m still living and working towards that dream, but I’ve reached a point where I’ve been able to ask: “How can I ever repay you?”

One person replied to me something that has been the main source of inspiration for SFDC99:
“The best way to repay me is to pay it forward.”

Fast forward to today, and I now see myself as a mentor to many hopeful Salesforce developers. And as the cycle continues, many of them ask me: “How can I ever repay you?”

And to that I reply: “The best way to repay me is to pay it forward.”

So this holiday season, if you’ve been able to achieve your Salesforce development dreams, or even just reached one milestone of many along the journey, take some time and ask yourself how you can pay it forward and perhaps inspire the next generation of developers.

If you’re looking for ideas, telling your story to the SFDC99 community might not be a bad place to start! Even an anonymous story might be all it takes to inspire the next learner.

Have a safe and happy holiday season!
David

Merry Christmas David and to your family!
the best gift I had this year is your website and I’m paying forward by teaching my co-workers to be an Admin.

Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season! :)
