What better way to incentive yourself to accomplish your goals than by posting them publicly!
Here are my New Years resolutions for 2015:
- Pass the Service Cloud certification
- Pass Level 2 of the Technical Architect certification
- Lose 10 pounds (I’ve enjoyed marriage so much I gained 20 pounds in the first month!)
- Do the dishes more often (my wife made this resolution for me)
- Finally go on our honeymoon!
Other things I’d like to do, but can’t really quantify:
- Grow SFDC99 (open to suggestions here!)
- Become adept at Salesforce1 Lightning
- Use Process Builder and Visual Flow more often
- Give out more SFDC99 t-shirts
Post your New Year’s resolutions too if you’re feeling brave!

Okay David here we go:
– Get Advanced Admin cert
– Complete Part 1 of Advance Dev cert (the multiple choice exam)
– Go through David’s Step by Step Guide to becoming a Force.com Dev, i.e. watch all of the webinars and read all of the sfdc99 posts, read HF Java from front cover to back cover. (Personal deadline: Summer 2015)
– Develop a habit of at 10 hours of code practice a week
– Lose a pound or 2
– Travel to somewhere…anywhere
– Get at least 1 Force.com developer job offer by the end of the year
That’s pretty realistic, I think
A short list but I feel like there is a lot on each of those points
1- Become a better coder.
2- Get more Salesforce certification: Admin and Advanced Developer.
3- Learn as much stuff as I can about SF (I swear this site feels like it is a bottomless pit of features).
4- (but it is actually #1 and will always be) Learn to be a father.
My resolutions for 2015 would be :
1. Get 3 certifications – Advanced developer Certification, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud .
2. Spend more time with the Family !
3. Try to be an Early riser
4. Use my spare time more constructively.
5. Live a Healthy Life :)

Man I feel like I’m sandbagging now!
Hi David,
Reporting back on my current goals:
1) Pardot Certification – failed once; going to take it again soon; still studying
2) 3 Community implementations (using all methods including templates, sites.com, and custom VF); nothing lined up here yet, but have played around with templates
3) 1 Knowledge implementation with custom dev; nothing here
4) 1 Custom service console build; nothing here
5) Dev and Adv Admin Certs (yes, I’m grouping them..) — haven’t started
6) 12 blog posts on CTI and OpenCTI methods to continue thought leadership : 8/12 blog posts done here
7) 30 Answers maked as “Best Answer” on SF Success – already at 35 for the year #10 last month on the success leader board
8) Attend Snowforce in SLC & Meet SteveMo; had to miss this one
9) Frame and hang existing certs on wall – 3 certs and uni degree framed; not hung yet but ripped a few holes in the walls (stupid plaster walls)
10) Read and learn java from book David recommends — nothing done here yet
I might count my custom interaction log I build in service console for #4, but was hoping to do some more custom console components still =)
You’re not playing around here! The most important thing is that you’re actually measuring your success =) And you’re even doing well against your goals!! Well done Paul!!
