Dreamforce session videos are up!

December 31, 2014

Session: Anyone can Code! (no matter what your background is)
Co-presented by Iman Maghroori, a Principal Sales Engineer at Salesforce.

Secretly my favorite session at Dreamforce!

This was an introductory session to inspire admins to learn Apex:

  1. Why you should code in Apex
  2. What steps to take to start learning
  3. How to write your first Apex trigger
  4. How to write your first test class

I had a heartfelt conversation with a lady afterwards who was in tears because she was inspired and motivated to learn! Definitely the best moment of Dreamforce for me!

Hands-On Workshop: Coding on Force.com for Non-Developers

A big, in-depth session on Apex triggers and Visualforce!

  1. When to use Apex
  2. How to write an Apex trigger and test class
  3. Introduction to Visualforce and controllers
  4. Hands-on trigger and Visualforce exercises

I’ll update this post when I find videos for my other sessions!

Super helpful, David. My company (Now IT Matters) is a foundation partner consulting company and I’m always looking for resources to help clients and staff. This is going to be my go to source for moving my admins to developers. Thanks for making it so accessible.
