How to think like a developer in 3 steps

February 11, 2015

This article from Udacity is spot on!

Topics covered:

  • Coding is NOT magic, it just seems like it
  • The all too common impostor syndrome
  • How to just start coding
  • Never give up!

I feel like I emphasize the above points often as well! Except not the impostor syndrome, which is something apparently many of my coworkers suffer with.

If you like what you see on Udacity, make sure to check out their course:

“Google (seriously, half of a programmer’s job is Googling to solve problems)” I love that line. Makes me feel much better.

I swear I think it’s more than half =) Probably 70%, not even kidding!!!

A mentor once told me “only one piece of code was ever written from scratch, and that was the first code ever.”

Heather, hope your developer journey is going awesome!
