Thanks to everyone in Phoenix, Arizona for spending their Saturday learning to code with me!
We had 60 people show up – most of them women – and we spent 6 hours together writing tons and tons of code! It was an intense day full of bravery, fun, and exploration. I sincerely hope many of you who attended will decide to continue learning Apex and eventually write code in your orgs!
Special thanks goes out to @ThatDarnWoman for organizing this #GirlyGeeks event, touring me around Arizona, being super hospitable, and making me an awesome free Phoenixforce t-shirt!!
If anyone’s curious to see the material we covered, check out the slides!
I leave Phoenix with many good memories and hope for your future – good luck students!
P.S. if you’re a user group leader and would like me to fly over and speak about coding, certifications, or Salesforce careers in general, shoot me an email at sfdc99.mailbag@gmail.com!
P.S. #2 my wife shaved my head. It’s so hot!!
It WAS an awesome event. I highly recommend having David come out to your town – he made Apex accessible, even for an only slighly geeky girly geek ;) Thanks David!
I want to help out!! I’d be happy to be a SFDC assistant teacher too next time :)
I missed the event :( Will there be another session at Phoenix?
How to search for the #girlygeeks as I want to connect with people learning salesforce.
Probably not in Phoenix for some time unfortunately!
Check out this page to join the GirlyGeeks though!

The #GirlyGeeks user group there is AWESOME and they came hungry – loved it!
If you’re a woman I highly recommend you check out your local #GirlyGeeks chapter too!
Those slides have some great info, any chance to include the Quiz answers?
I’ll do my best!
This is awesome David! Sounds like it was an awesome event!
