Unpaid SF intern — looking for one. Weekly mentoring and guidance

August 27, 2015

David’s note: a rare chance to build up your knowledge and resume under one of the best Salesforce professionals in the industry. I’ve personally met Terry and can attest to him. HIGHLY recommended!

NOTE: Terry has found an intern and is no longer accepting applications. Congrats on the lucky SFDC99 reader who got this gig! Hopefully more positions coming soon!

Want to develop awesome skills?

With experience, people get jobs like crazy in the Salesforce world according to David Liu. One great way to get skills (again… according to David) is volunteering for a nonprofit. Well… here it is!

I seek one Salesforce intern to mentor and guide. You could be pretty much anywhere as I’m willing to teleconference and make this a virtual job. You’ll do projects for me. I think this requires at least 15 hours per week to be successful. I’ll invest at least 2 hours per week in you. I’ll also set training tasks in front of you to make sure you’re well rounded. I want a 13 week commitment from some starting point.

You’ll know and demonstrate knowledge of Flow, using process builder with flow, NPSP 3.0 objects, writing SF project specifications, packaging solutions for sharing, architecture of a powerful but declarative solutions and more.

Serous inquiries will include resume, why you want the internship, how you can balance 15 hours of weekly work with your schedule, and when you’d like to start.

David, a good general article about the ways recently-minted SDFC engineers can get entry-level experience would be great. I bet you could get a lot of data about this from your readers.

Terry, I am interested as this would be my charity for the year.
I am pretty old for an intern, 67, former assembler code writer, brand new Certified SF Admin.
Let me know how to connect.

This is great David! I was just looking for an opportunity such as this. It would be great if you could post more of these (nonprofit volunteer positions) in the future.
