Philippines call center agent to Lead Salesforce Technical Architect!

September 5, 2015

David’s note: This story touches my heart on many levels. I actually remember when you first emailed me and told my about your Salesforce aspirations. At the time you were some random lady in the Philippines with an outstanding desire to succeed. And now, today, I’m proud to share your success story with the world. Well done Ren, well done! I’ll see you at Dreamforce!

Hi David,

I hope you still remember me. I emailed you last year about an issue that I encountered with one of my Salesforce project. I also told you that I’m one of your followers and yes, an avid fan.

I am an sfdc99’ers from the Philippines. I once told you that if I will get a chance to attend Dreamforce, I will definitely look for you – worst, stalk you! :)

Now, I got the registration confirmation for Dreamforce. I’m going to San Francisco to attend Dreamforce then fly to New York after, for a couple of business meetings. It is my first time to go out of Asia. I’m kinda nervous but excited because it’s all about Salesforce.

Your story has been an inspiration for me. To make my story short, I don’t have a coding background. I’m a struggling call center agent that got into an outsource Salesforce Support account. We are those who answers and assist case submitted by Salesforce customers – you know when you go to Help & Training site and click Contact Us. From that on, I fell in love with Salesforce.

After two years, I landed an SF Admin job then with the help of your site and the people from the MIRC channel (that I also got from you), I was able to learn how to code! Now, I’m a Technical Architect Lead in an IT company here in the Philippines. I have 10 developers who I trained and they are now certified. We are all having fun tinkering Salesforce.

I wish I will get a chance to see you and have a selfie with you at Dreamforce hahaha!

This is a dream come true for me, David. And you are one of the few reasons for making this a reality. I salute you, Bro!!

Ren

PS: Please let me know where I can find you. I would really love to take time and shake the hand (and a selfie!) of one of my Salesforce hero. Plus, can you give me tips on where to go first or how I can go around with everything that is in Dreamforce? Because it seems like it is very overwhelming for me.

Want to tell the world your story too?
Email it to sfdc99.mailbag@gmail.com and your story could be heard around the world!
