A big THANK YOU to everyone who’s participating in the first Apex Academy course!
I’ve personally read and responded to every single email, comment, discussion, tweet, scholarship request, and what can I say… you all are amazing students!
The burning question now is, what should you do while waiting for course #2?
Here are my recommendations:
Course | Author |
Career Strategies and Opportunities for Salesforce Platform Developers | Dan Appleman – author of Advanced Apex Programming and one of my personal mentors |
Force.com Platform – The Big Picture | Don Robins – creator and teacher of Salesforce’s official Apex classes |
Introduction to Visualforce | Matt Lacey – Salesforce MVP and founder of the Salesforce StackExchange |
Force.com and Apex Fundamentals | Dan Appleman – author of Advanced Apex Programming and one of my personal mentors |
Force.com Design Patterns | Adam Purkiss – Salesforce MVP and Trailhead Architect |
Anything on Javascript, the required language for Salesforce Lightning! | (Various authors) |
One of the big reasons I joined Pluralsight is because I personally look up to all of these authors in terms of my own career – I know them all in person, and, they’re all much smarter than I am!
So what’s next for the Apex Academy?
Happy learning everyone!
David
Hi David — Adam Purkiss link on your post goes to Dan Appleman instead. I just thought to let you know to minimize any confusions.
Thank you very much – updated! (Sorry Adam!)
Hey David, Do you have an idea how many classes you will post? Are you going to talk about Visualforce and Lightning components?
Hey Max!
In my head I have at least 8 courses planned, but, that number is totally subject to my editor. Really depends how things go for them =)
The courses in my mind are mostly centered around Apex and certifications. There’s already a course on Visualforce and there are TONS of coursing on Javascript, which is basically Lightning. I have no short terms plans to cover those but never say never!
In my head, the courses that will appeal to the biggest audience is what’s interesting to me. So mostly beginner level stuff, whether it is coding or not.
Hope this answers your question Max!
David
Thanks David!
It does answer my question thank you. Your class is very helpful, even for non beginner, and I am even trying to get a subscription to Pluralsight for my company just for this class. You can tell that to your editor!
Excellent work David!
