Hi Trailblazers – I’m a software engineer and architect mid-late career, looking to make a change, no longer interested in continuing development work and coding. I was part of a special project team a few years ago doing competitive analysis of cloud ecosystems and was assigned Salesforce. After studying many aspects of the platform, their approach to working with customers/partners/practitioners, and training/on-boarding/sales/marketing, I was extremely impressed. I’ve narrowed down to a career as Salesforce practitioner (initially Admin, then add App Builder, Data Integration, Architect, maybe Dev). Would be interested to hear recommendations from others on here about expectations, amount of training time, …. Of course I am reading thru the full Salesforce career guide published here, but wanted to get come recommendations as well. In particular, would be interested to know if I should pursue a Salesforce Admin job right away or wait to get other advanced certifications (Admin Advanced, App Builder, Data Integration, Dev, Architect, etc) before pursuing the first job opportunity.
I appreciate your efforts in putting this guide together. I have a goal in mind for which I’m currently working on breaking down into steps and developing strategies to bring it into reality! #excitedforthefuture
