Great content as always David! Thank you for putting this content out regularly. I’m taking your Apex Academy course on Plural Sight now, looking to get my PD1 soon with some of that knowledge. Tackling designer certs after that! Your story about reframing the failure with the volleyball serve as an opportunity is priceless – I’ve encountered similar situations in my own career, and mixing up your content and not just focusing on Certs/SF knowledge holds great value in anyone to build their whole self up, become a great person and earn a great career! Keep the videos coming!

For salesforce specific roles, are super badges rangers status important and the technical salesforce architect cert, in the world of salesforce are those still valuable???

So sorry if I sound repetitive just trying to gain some clarity, what’s certifications, super badges be important if I’m applying to a job at salesforce. Salesforce places a lot of empathize of how super badges act as like real world experience to them so I as just wondering if they are still worth willed or not. Or if ranger is good
To have on your resume or not still???

Every good company is different in how they hire. I make a different resume for each company I apply to, for example. And in companies like Google you gotta get through like 10+ people to get the job. Even if one person likes you, all 9+ need to like you too. It’s really difficult. Really the best way to prepare is to consistently be the best at whatever you are doing.

Should I just focus on salesforce certifications still then, I see a lot of solution engineer jobs at salesforce that salesforce certs strongly
Preferred on the job posting. I thought you said you would hire someone with a salesforce technical architect certification cause it’s one of the hardest in the whole word???

It’s important at most companies but not as much at Google. You gotta be able to prove you’re top 1% in the world basically. Even 10,000,000 badges won’t do that for you!

You would know but I heard the google cloud architect professional certifications is like one of the hardest in the world like the salesforce architect technical is, didn’t you say in your video you would hire someone if they had the salesforce technical architect no doubts no questions asked because it’s one of the hardest in the world and there are so few architects????

Yessir I have both those certs and have failed the Technical Architect review board lol. The other certs are probably only 5% as hard as the review board.

Just depends on the position. Google doesn’t put much stock in certifications. Many of my coworkers have zero certs.
