Ask David Liu ________ at #WITDEVS. RSVP!

January 5, 2021

UPDATE: Watch the recording here!!

I’m back from Christmas break and it’s time to be a productive member of society again!

On Thursday January 14th, join this LIVE Salesforce Women in Tech virtual meeting to ask me whatever your heart desires and I’ll give you my honest answer. More information here.

Not a woman? That’s fine, it’s virtual. Turn off your camera and no one will know. I’m pretty sure I’m not a woman myself either. And I know they appreciate allies too!

And if you’re shy like me, you can submit your question online. The organizers really did a great job!

RSVP here and I’ll see you next week!

Special thanks to the Salesforce Women in Tech Developers Group for inviting me! @WITDEVS is a virtual community of women Salesforce developers who empower, educate, and support each other.

I’ve known the founders, Jessica Murphy and Rachel Watson since 2015 when they attended one of my coding classes in Phoenix. They’ve since become great developers, mentors, and community leaders and are giving it back 100 fold through this user group. If you’re a woman and you have any interest at all in coding in Salesforce, you gotta join WITDEVS.

I have few questions:
1.how to explain an 8 year old what is salesforce?
2.Can CI/CD be achieved with waterfall?
3.Difference between CI/CD, DevOps and Agile?
4.I’ve 7 years of salesforce development experience, how can I get into a techno-functional role?
5.What comprises of a Salesforce technical architect role?

Hey David :)

I had registered for todays event with few questions in mind but my alarm went mute :/
I will post my questions here-

1) The software engineer positions @Salesforce or Google needs knowledge(strong) about Algorithms and DS! I am a Salesforce Developer and a part time BA (with limited knowledge in CS topics). How do i beat this?

Note: I did find some job openings @Google purely for Salesforce, but again the question is what are we asked? and what’s the scope. (wrt 6 years of exp)

2) Is there a perfect job which blends Salesforce+MBA (More like techno-functional)? How do you go about such opportunities, like minded people or communities/Any room for such positions @Google?

3) I had a won a tee in one of your “failure stories” contest! and i have not received it yet :D

Hi David,
Will the session be recorded? It would be tricky to catch it live and keep my focus at 2AM local time :-)

Kind regards
Andrijana

Could you please share tips on how to improve it.

Hi David’ i am certified administrator on path with pd1. I am new to coding I never coded before. But thanks to your awesome syabulls structure and plural sight. I gained some knowedlege and confidence. My question are
1. Can you speak about how to deal with problem ? Which is need to put in code ? What is the approach and analysis ?
2. I feel very anxious when I miss small details and try it for whole day or two, but it would be minor changes. How to deal with this ?

Kindly let me know your thoughts.
